Athletics NSW (ANSW) is Australiaโ€™s oldest Athletics Association. It is one of eight Member Associations (MA) of Athletics Australia (AA).

Currently, Athletics NSW has over 80 affiliated clubs across the state with more than 8,000 members including Olympians, Paralympians, regular and social athletes, ranging in age from juniors through to masters.

Each year, Athletics NSW hosts numerous events including the NSW All Schools Championships โ€“ the largest schools athletics carnival in Australia; Junior and Senior State Championships, the Treloar Shield and the Lake Macquarie Fernleigh15. In conjunction with Athletics Australia, Athletics NSW stages the Hunter Track Classic and the Sydney Track Classic which are part of the annual National Summer of Athletics Tour.

In 2014, Athletics NSW launched RunNSW which is a series of fun runs staged across New South Wales, catering for runners of all ages and abilities and providing these athletes with access to professionally organised, low entry fee fun runs.

The association is also responsible for managing New South Teams at the All Schools Championships and Australian Junior Championships. New South Wales teams have enjoyed great success at these Championships, with the NSW All Schools Team winning the overall point score for the past five consecutive years.

Athletics NSW is committed to establishing relationships with innovative organisations which benefit both members and the sport of athletics.
